Long Term Rental Locator
If you are relocating to the Big Island and will be looking for a property
to live in on a long-term basis, I can help you. First, you may check the
two newspapers we have on the Big Island once you have decided if you wish
to live on the windward side (Hilo city is the major city on this side) or
the leeward side (Kailua-Kona, Waikoloa and Waimea are towns on this side).
The links are as follows:
-
For Hilo and surroundings areas, please see the classifieds in The Herald
Tribune
- For Kailua-Kona (Kona for short), Waikoloa, Waimea and the Kohala Coast,
please see the classifieds in West Hawaii Today
The Big Island is more diverse in terms of weather than any other comparable
piece of land in the world, so the towns mentioned above are in quite
different climatic zones. Hilo is the wettest city in the United States.
Rainfall is usually more than 100 inches a year compared to Kailua-Kona's 20
inches. To see a map depicting rainfall on the island, please go to my
Weather page.
I can tailor information on an area of the island, together with specific
properties for rent, links to long-term rental agencies or, at the very
least, a list of phone numbers for you to follow up with. Please give me a
little more information.
